Black Ghost
There are loads of different helicopters in this world: colorful, TC-off-Magnum-looking ones, vintage M*A*S*H-style ones, big red royal ones, and even insane gunship jobs like that one in Rambo II.

But surely the coolest choppers in existence are those stealth attack helicopters. You know, the menacing military ones you see…erm, well you don't see 'em because they're designed for stealth.

Black Ghost
So wouldn't it be good if you could actually fly one of these ominous machines without joining the special forces? Thanks to the BladeRunner Black Ghost you can do exactly that, and you won't even have top get off the sofa.

Black Ghost

Palm-sized wonder

Okay, so this particular stealth chopper is of the micro, infra-red remote control variety, but who cares about that when you're hovering around the lampshade preparing to conduct hush-hush raids on distant enemy furniture.

This fully-functional indoor whirlybird features the same ingenious stability system as other choppers in the celebrated BladeRunner series. It's this nifty set-up that gives the Black Ghost precise hover control and super stable flight characteristics, just like the real thing (we imagine).

With full up/down/left/right movement, the Black Ghost is ideal for buzzing around the home and office - it's a breeze once you get the hang of it. And if you do crash, the Ghost's resilient shell means you'll be able to send in a rescue team (okay, your hand) and buzz away before the enemy (aka the boss) gets a look in.

Black Ghost

Charges via IR transmitter

The Black Ghost is controlled via a smart twin-toggle IR transmitter that doubles up as a charging unit. Each charge gives at least 10 minutes flying time - more than enough to sweep past the curtain rail in a highly sinister fashion, do recon of the hall and return to sofa base. The only thing missing is the weaponry. Darn!

visitor avatar I haven't been able to put this down since I got it. I haven't had to change the batteries in the transmitter/charging unit yet. It's a ridiculously addictive toy and despite its flimsy appearance it's incredibly strong. I have crashed it into walls, curtains, down the stairs... it's still flying perfectly. If something happened to it, I'd get another in a heartbeat. Five stars!

visitor avatar This is the question; PicoZ vs Black Ghost. I can say straight away the Black Ghost wins it, it is incredibly stable and feels more finley tuned than the PicoZ. It is so controllable, there is no element of luck involved when your flying it and it can be flown by people of all ages. On a scale of 1 to 10 the Pico Z would be a 7. 5 and the Black Ghost would be a 9. (Not ten due to no backwards flight).

visitor avatar Got this for my nephew and one for myself. As technology has improved since the 90's this RC product is ace. A good small size so you can play in your house and it is very easy to control and navigate. Doesn't break if you crash it. Well done on this cool gadget.

visitor avatar Can't put this thing down. Brilliant control that lets you go exactly where you want rather than randomly all over the place.

visitor avatar Ever since this tiny techno marvel arrived, I find it hard stop playing. Who'd have believed this level of sophistication at such a price. We are very impressed with the design which enables it to fly freely with absolutely no danger of harm to ornaments, TV screens etc. Brilliant!
